Plant Hunter

Special saw for professional gardeners!

Cutting surface is very clean. They have Komame fine teeth for pruning. Teeth pitch is 3.0mm for all lengths. You can cut small branches nice and clean. They have straight teeth without sets. Instead the blade is tapered with some rip teeth. The blade is replaceable, so you can just get a new blade once the blade becomes dull. The handle and the sheath is made out of natural beech.

The blade is tapered, and the blade is thicker towards the teeth. Tapered blade works like sets.

By making very clean cuts, you can make timbers in good quality.

Komame fine teeth with some rip teeth

Our Sentei pruning saws have 4.0mm teeth pitch, but the teeth pitch of Plant Hunter is 3.0mm and is smaller. With smaller teeth, you can make cleaner cuts.

We put a rip tooth every certain number of crosscut teeth. This improves the cutting quality. The height of the rip teeth is a little lower than that of crosscut teeth. Rip teeth do not cut the material. Instead they remove saw dust as crosscut teeth cut the materials.

The handle and the sheath are made out of natural beech. They are handsaws in a traditional style.

Folding type gardening saw

It's small but very handy. Gardening saw that can be folded. It's small and fits in your hand when folded, so you can easily put it in your pocket. It's easy to cut thin branches with fine teeth. The blade is replaceable just like our regular hand saws. Once the blade becomes dull, you can just get a new blade. The handle is made out of cherry tree.

Plant Hunter Nekiri

Special tool for cutting roots.

We made Plant Hunter Nekiri together with a rose teacher. Special saw for cutting roots and for planting. They are great for planting roses, replacing your lawn, and cutting oasis. The blade is flexible, so you can dig into the planter. You can cut small roots together with sand really well. This prevents damaging the roots and causing root rot. The tip of each tooth is hardened, so the blade stays sharp for a long time. The blade is plated with electroless nickel, and it prevents rusting.
