Woodworking saw with natural wooden handle.

The striped wooden handle is made of natural maple and cherry wood. Short metal spine makes it easy to cut through the material. They have some rip teeth for cutting along the grain and diagonally to the grain.

Houo means Fenghuang, the mythological bird in Asia. Metal spline and the handle are painted with Japanese lacquer. Feng is painted on the front side of the handle, and Huang is painted on the back using Makie technique. The blade is 240mm long and only 0.15mm thick. With our special technique, we were able to make extra thin blade. It comes with a saw wrap with Kyoto Nishijin fabric. It comes in a special frame for display.

The blade is tapered which work just like sets. Once the blade becomes dull, you can just change to a new blade. The handle and the sheath is made out of natural beech and are painted with varnish.
